As part of our IT based Route to Employment course you will receive:

- An introduction to IT terminologies and technologies
- The fundamentals of computer hardware
- The fundamentals of computer software
- The fundamentals of network systems
- The fundamentals of security concepts
- Employability classes, giving you the skills you need to stand out to an employer – from the first impression given by your CV and cover letter, through to what to wear at interview and how you will be expected to behave in a work environment.
- If you need them, we can also support you to secure your maths and/or English qualifications up to level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE re-take. If you already have your maths and/or English we will support you to further develop your skills in these areas specifically tailored to working in IT, eg programming, databases and secure communications.

/ apprenticeships
Once you have completed your introduction to IT you will be able to identify and explain basic computer systems, networking principles, identify compatibility issues and identify/prevent basic security risks. This will give you the skills, knowledge and experience you need to progress on to an ICT apprenticeship in IT Support.
Potential career options with an ICT level 3 apprenticeship qualification in IT Support include:
