Purpose of the job

Working with the Executive Director and Fundraising Manager (Statutory & Grants) to secure and develop funding from new and existing Corporate Partners and Individuals to achieve ambitious targets. To create an exceptional partnership experience through skilled account management and customer experience leading to sustainable income, volunteering and resources for our charity.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Generate new and multi-year fundraising income and grants from Corporate Partners against ambitious targets set by the Executive Director. Be willing to undertake research on, network and build relationships with prospective partners.
  • Work closely with the wider Development Team to ensure collaborative approaches to applications to new and existing partners and seek crossover opportunities for City Gateway such as Pro Bono support, Apprenticeship opportunities or volunteering.
  • Work with the Executive Director and CEO to ensure their time is used strategically with partners and support the Fundraising Advisory Board members in their work to engage new prospects.
  • Align and operate the Corporate Fundraising strategy to meet the needs of the wider organisation.
  • Secure and develop new Charity of the Year Partnerships.
  • Lead on developing corporate giving products to engage and maintain partnerships.
  • Lead on developing the individual giving experience, to deliver a step-change in income from this channel; including producing materials and the website giving platform in partnership with the Marketing & Outreach Team.
  • Support the Fundraising Manager (Grants & Statutory) with bids at key points in the year and work collaboratively to develop and allocate the fundraising pipeline of applications together.
  • Work with the Partner Engagement Manager and wider delivery teams to agree on volunteering opportunities for our partners that serve the organisation’s needs and build stronger relationships with the partners.
  • Build strong relationships with the wider organisation and develop knowledge of both of our programmes, Women’s Programmes and Youth Programmes, in order to effectively communicate their stories and impact to partners.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and detailed records of your activity on the shared database and at all times uphold our standards for customer service to partners.
  • Prepare regular reports on progress against target and key opportunities or partner activity.
