We’re running a drop-in session at our site in Poplar, East London, on Friday 3rd September from 11am – 3pm, and you are invited!
Here at City Gateway’s we run a Traineeship programme that prepares young people aged 16–24 for employment, further training or an apprenticeship through training, coaching and work experience.
The traineeship gives you the skills and work experience employers are looking for in the people they hire. And if you need them, we will also help you get your maths and/or English functional skills up to level 2.
One potential outcome once you’ve finished the traineeship is our office-based apprenticeships, with top employers in the City!
It’s all absolutely free and we even provide free breakfast and the opportunity to apply for financial help to cover childcare, travel, food and interview clothes.

Come along to our site in Poplar any time between 11am and 3pm and we’ll get you started with your enrolment. If you are able to bring along proof of ID (eg passport or birth certificate) and proof of your address (eg a driving licence, bank statement or utility bill) that would be great.
You’ll get to have a chat with a member of our coaching team who will find out a little more about you and what it is you’re hoping to do so we can better understand how we might be able to support you and which of our traineeship courses is right for you.
Feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
