There are a few things to consider or be aware of when thinking about joining City Gateway.
Whichever course you join at City Gateway you will need to be able to travel to our purpose built hub in Tower Hamlets – we’re a 3 minute walk from East India DLR station.
While our mission is to work with young people who are not in Education, Employment or Training, we do understand you may already have a job but are wanting to do something different.
You need to be able to commit to coming to our study hub so we can give you the support you need to ensure you are ready to start on this exciting next chapter for you.
You will be given your timetable when you join us.
Our Route to Employment courses are aimed at young people aged 16-18.
If you’re still in school but interested in joining City Gateway when you finish, you can apply now and we’ll invite you in to start with us the following September.
Our mission is to work with young people who have been impacted by social and economic inequality. You may have been in care or faced challenges of unstable housing or homelessness. You may be a young carer, be in debt, have had criminal justice involvement or had to deal with substance abuse or bringing up a child as a lone parent.
Whatever challenges you have faced in the past we will never judge you. No matter what your previous experiences may have been, we are here to work with you to achieve your goals.
