City Gateway is excited to announce the relocation of its head office and primary learning space to a brand new site adjacent to East India DLR station, in the Republic office complex.
After more than four years at the current Mastmaker Road site, City Gateway will move into the new East India complex at the end of August 2018.
The change will see City Gateway remain in Tower Hamlets but move even closer to the communities it supports, helping to better fulfil its vision of imagining a society where everyone reaches their full potential, where the future is not defined by the past or determined by the place a person starts.
The workspace will allow more interactive class-based activities, reflecting City Gateway’s dynamic approach to learning. With four teaching rooms and two coaching rooms, the space benefits from fantastic facilities, which will provide opportunity for a larger number of young people to receive the personalised support that City Gateway offers.

The move comes after a significant strategic review, which included an independent research project with local 16-24 year olds who benefit from City Gateway’s programmes and routes to employment with top London employers.
Close to Canary Wharf and the City, the new site has great access to many of the employer partners that City Gateway works with, providing unique learning opportunities and routes to full-time employment for young people aged 16-24 and allowing easy access for our corporate partners taking part in volunteering opportunities.
City Gateway will continue to offer a tailored women’s programme at Stepney Life Centre.
