/ what is Route to Employment?

There are 3 main elements to our Route to Employment courses, all of them ensuring you are ready to, and successful in, gaining your maths and/or English and securing a job or apprenticeship.

    • Training. Giving you the sector specific skills you need to stand out to an employer – from the first impression given by your CV and cover letter through to what to wear at interview and how you will be expected to behave in a work environment.
    • Experience. Nothing can better prepare you for the work environment than submerging yourself in it. Our short sector specific work placement will give you the opportunity to put your training to the test and experience the world of work first hand. Impress and you could be offered a job or apprenticeship off the back of your placement!
    • Qualifications. If you don’t have your maths and English, we can help you get them through our functional skills course. If you already have your maths and English we will support you to further develop your skills in these areas specifically tailored to working in a Business Administration/IT role. And to make sure you are completely equipped for employment, we will also ensure you have the necessary digital skills employers are looking for in the people they hire.
