Working with young people
Engage is a capacity-building course, aimed at engaging & motivating young people aged 16-19. The course offers a mixture of vocational training, job preparation, personal development and various tasters for accredited qualifications alongside innovative training in Maths and English. This combination helps young people to think about their futures in a positive way.
We aim to tap into the interests that young people already have and broaden their horizons to help them see the opportunities that might be available to them in the future. We want them to realise that they can achieve regardless of what has happened in the past.
We also work with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award to help young people aged between 14 and 24 to develop their skills through a balanced programme of activities which builds confidence and self-esteem, encouraging social interaction and team-working.
