Welcome to our Youth Projects
We look to connect with local women & disadvantaged young people, and run programmes which engage and train them and then provide them with the skills and opportunities they need to enter work. We were founded by a group of City workers from local churches who wanted to give something back to the community around them.
City Gateway’s work has seen NEET figures in Tower Hamlets fall from 15% to 6.7%.
City Gateway Youth Services seeks to provide a full complement of services to young people living in Tower Hamlets. Our Training and Employment Team, based in Poplar, received an Ofsted Outstanding rating and we have a Youth Project based at Limehouse Youth Centre. In all we do, our focus is to see young people progress from where we connect and engage them, through training and into the work place.
City Gateway partners with more than 30 international firms, and offers a range of courses aimed at giving young people in Tower Hamlets the skills & experience they need to get into work. Connect with us on Facebook now.
We offer training & apprenticeships in IT, Sports and Customer Services at our training centre at Tower Gateway and our youth sports centre near Poplar. We provide a complete training progression from the basic, entry level training through to longer term courses such as NVQ apprenticeships.
Our courses offer a balance between accredited learning and employability sessions, such as CV workshops, mock interviews and office tours. Our team of employment progression workers will help you find an apprenticeship placement and support you onto employment or further education at the end of our courses.
