LSIS Beacon Ofsted Outstanding 2011 Centre for Social Justice Award

Connect

All women who register at City Gateway Women's Project start at Connect and receive a short induction. This covers an initial skills assessment and creates an action plan to provide them with direction as they proceed through the progression stream. Newly registered clients on Connect collect a MyCityGateway Pass which will help keep track of their progress at the project  and recommends a couple of initial courses to get them started.

Connect courses offer range from health and wellbeing activities to literacy support, givingwomen the opportunity to meet both the team and other women in their community. The aim is to give new clients confidence as they choose their next steps in MyCityGateway.

Literacy Lunch

Literacy Lunch is literacy activities at lunch time where women are supported in brushing up writing skills. It is also a great place to come and practice what you have already learnt or go over previously covered material. Corporate Volunteers - volunteer your lunch hour and get involved in this initiative.
