Apprentice Placements
Gateway Motion is a sports-based social enterprise. Our goal is to ‘build active lives’ in Tower Hamlets by promoting sports related activities to Tower Hamlets residents and organisations whilst supporting social and economic regeneration in Tower Hamlets. Gateway Motion works closely with City Gateway Youth Services; providing training and a free gym to local young people.
We provide work placements for over 150 sports apprentices a year in Tower Hamlets. By working with us you are helping to reduce unemployment locally whilst securing the training services that prepare otherwise unemployed young people for work.
The Gateway Motion Gym
Gateway Motion has a multi-gym located at Limehouse Youth Centre; supervised by staff who can offer personalised work out programmes to suit your fitness needs. The multi-gym is equipped with Boxing, Weight lifting, Cardio Equipment, Treadmill, Rowing Machines, Aerobics Equipment's and a Step mill.
Qualified instructors are there for you. to help you with how to use the equipment and how to best develop your physical health and fitness level.
Schools Out
We are keen to impact the obesity problems of young people in Tower Hamlets; through the services we deliver to schools we can help with the provision of competitive sports activities. Our team is also available to provide P.E. cover where there is a shortage of staff.
Driven by our passion to engage young people through sports, we would be happy to offer your students the opportunity to get a taste of something they may not be able to access at school.
