At Beauty Gateway we make it our business to create moments of indulgence and calm amongst all the busy-ness of the Capital. We offer a range of luxurious treatments, not just in our salons but also at events, and even in your office. Please see the treatment list below.
Beauty Gateway was set up in partnership with State Street to offer sustainable employment opportunities in Beauty Therapy and Business to marginalised women, who otherwise face great barriers to employment. Women on our courses come from the Borough of Tower Hamlets where 46% of women are economically inactive. The women receive vocational training, personal development and individual support to help them progress into sustained employment and live independent lives.
Beauty Gateway has already helped 15 of these women develop their entrepreneurial skills and enter the workplace. This work makes a tremendous difference, inspiring women to overcome often difficult circumstances; Mariam is just one example. She left her native Algeria at the age of 18 and found life in England isolating and lonely. That was until she met the ladies at City Gateway Women’s Project and begun the Beauty course.
The Women’s Project took Mariam’s ambition, ‘I wanted to pursue goals, not just sit at home for the rest of my life’, and transformed it into a viable career. The English and Maths classes have helped her support her son at school and the business advice has helped her develop her customer service skills. Mariam has really blossomed on this course, ‘My dream is to become a mobile therapist with my own salon’. Other apprentices have said they appreciate the business acumen gained and the on-going personal development; ‘It’s really interesting to deal with profits, set-up, marketing as well as the treatments. That’s going to be really useful to me in the future’. This is central to Beauty Gateway’s mission, encouraging women to fulfil their potential as economically independent role models in their communities.

Beauty Gateway, are hosted at two salons in East London but also offer a travelling, in-office service and are available for events, parties and functions.
