Women's Project Recognised at Excellence Awards

In the week of the 99th Annual International Women's Day, City Gateway Women's Project (based in East London) has been recognised in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Third Sector Excellence Awards.
The team were the runners up in the "Supporting Vulnerable People" award, recognising the efforts they've made to support more than 500 disadvantaged women in the local community.
"The Council is very proud to have a vibrant and active Third Sector in the borough. There is a real understanding and appreciation that Third Sector organisations are extremely effective in delivering a wide range of key services that are essential to meeting the needs and aspirations of the various communities within the borough."
"As a result, the Council has introduced an awards programme in order to recognise and reward those organisations that have made particularly noteworthy contributions to improving the lives of people living and working in the borough."
