London, 24th March 2009 – This week sees the launch of a new video in which Hollywood star Sir Ian McKellen showed support for local business by lending his voice to be used on a promotional video for Gateway Media based in Whitechapel. Sir Ian, famed for roles as Magneto in X Men and Gandalf in Lord of the rings, was pleased to put his voice to good use. “He was a real star, his support has meant we can reach a wider audience and continue our growth as a new media social enterprise” said Gateway Media’s manager Simon Baker. The promotional video was premiered at Canary Wharf’s East Wintergarden venue during charity City Gateway’s 10 year celebration event earlier this month.

Gateway Media offer award winning solutions in marketing, video production, print and website design to businesses such as Canary Wharf Group and Taylor Woodrow. As a social enterprise they provide the City Gateway charity with pro bono marketing support and a percentage of their profits as well as training, apprenticeship and work experience schemes for local young people.
