SPURS and England striker Peter Crouch visited the Limehouse Youth Club to encourage a new community initiative.
Run jointly by City Gateway and housing association Poplar HARCA, the centre provides free sports-based training and apprenticeships for NEETs - young people not in education, employment or training.
Peter and his England team mates donated their match fees and time to support such projects following their decision to set up their own charitable trust, the Team England Footballers Charity.
Visiting the youth centre last month, Peter said: "My team mates and I are proud to be associated with this project.
"The people who work here to make this possible are fantastic, today has been rewarding for everyone involved."
