Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Children's Services and Skills, last month visited City Gateway as part of a national survey inspection of providers working with young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and has recognised the charity's training services as a national example of best practice.
The report concluded that "The young people describe City Gateway as somewhere they feel safe, secure and comfortable; they felt they were making real progress. They were realistic about their starting points and clear about the targets they had set for themselves. They were able to express themselves clearly and show they had increasing confidence in their own abilities."
