City Gateway responds to Youth Contracts announcement

City Gateway advocates apprentices as way to tackle youth unemployment

Eddie Stride, City Gateway CEO, and Alhaz Hussain were interviewed last night on BBC News in response to Apprenticeship and Youth Contract funding announcement by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and about our outstanding apprenticeship scheme for NEET young people and the importance of business to take on apprentices and create employment opportunties. The annoucment also confirmed SMEs with fewer than 250 employees will be able to access up to £1,500 to start taking on apprentices.
