30 volunteers from Barclays Corporate visited City Gateway to help meet some key needs.

The two teams, one at City Gateway Women's Project and the other with our Training and Employment team, gave time and energy to transform the crèche and reception of the Women's Project; which is accessed by around 200 women and up to 60 children in the crèche per week. They came full of energy and managed to get three coats of paint up in record time.

The other team ran a speed interviewing and CV workshop with some of our IT trainees who are preparing for apprenticeships. It was a great opportunity for the trainees to get time one-on-one with corporate volunteers to practice their interview technique and receive feedback. The roles were reversed at the end, with trainees asking the questions to find out what the volunteers did for Barclays and how they got to where they are now. An inspiring occasion for all involved.
