Healthy Living
Our main aim as an organisation is to bring hope to the local community by improving the quality of living in the area. As part of our wider commitment to this vision we have launched a community gym in Limehouse, as well as a number of new initiatives aimed at promoting healthy living and protecting the environment.
Working in partnership with Well London, as part of a pan London initiative, we have run a number of health cafes/consultations where community leaders and residents alike are able to share their views on health provision in the Borough and impact future policy accordingly. One of the main focuses of the year has been facing up to the lack of public recreational space in an area with such a high demand for land.
The Lansbury Lodge Women’s Project has launched a number of courses aimed at educating local women on healthy eating and food preperation. In partnership with Poplar HARCA we have also started hosting a monthly food co-operative where local residents can purchase quality local produce at affordable prices.
